Audiobooks

You spent a lot of time crafting your book into a masterpiece.  Your heart and soul poured out on page.  It's a work of art.  You go through the ordeal of getting it to format properly for an e-book, making sure nothing is lost.  Then comes the audiobook.

Audiobooks are as important as e-books anymore.  People listen on their way to work, while they workout, and even while they do the dishes.  With such busy lifestyles, a lot of people find they listen to more books than they physically read anymore.

My passion in audiobooks is keeping your presence in your work. There is so much that goes into producing a good audiobook that people simply don't know about.  I've heard far too many recorded in bad rooms, with bad microphones, and by someone who doesn't know how to record properly.  I know several authors and publishers, so I have a good idea how much time, energy, and money you've already spent on your book.  I don't want you to miss out on this important piece of the puzzle, or have it damage you/your books credibility by sounding unprofessional.  Whether you want to read it yourself in my studio, or you want one of my voice actors to read it for you - I'm here to help.  A top shelf production can make your project, just like a poor job can break it.

I've done my best to keep my prices surprisingly affordable.  Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Basic Audiobook Recording Info

125-150 words per min  =  7,500-10,000 words per hour (finished audio)
It typically takes 2x as long to record as the finished product.
It typically takes 2x as long to edit as to record.
Aka a 30,000 word book will be ~ a 3 hour audiobook, taking ~ 6 hours to record, and ~ 12 hours of additional work ( or ~ 20 hours of work total).  Meaning ~ 2-3 days of recording and ~ 1-2 weeks of editing.

*I suggest no longer than 3-4 hours in studio per day for health reasons.
*Take regular breaks throughout the recording process.
*Know the material and voices prior to recording.
*No coffee, tea, or soda on recording days prior or during recording.
